Will everything we discuss remain Confidential?

What makes this relationship unique is that you are able to talk about any aspect of your personal and professional life in complete confidence.  This can include ideas, thoughts and feelings that you might not normally choose to explore with colleagues, friends or family.  Therefore a high level of trust underpins the personal relationship that lies at the heart of this model.  Trust develops over time, but there are certain assurances which can provide a framework in which it can grow.

I base my approach on the model prescribed by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, of which I am a Registered Member.  Key to this is a formal contract, which is backed up by the requirement for compliance with the BACP codes of conduct and ethics which are an integral part of my continuing registration.
As an Associate Member of the Association for Coaching I also remain fully compliant with their Code of Ethics.

Best practice for both organisations requires regular contact with an experienced Supervisor whose role is to support the work and to ensure continued adherence to their ethical requirements.  These reviews would not include any client identifiable data.
