Next Steps for New Clients:
Any Individual or Organisation facing a Crisis will usually need to act quickly. It is also recognised that this form of support can be intense and sometimes may be unpredictable. Most importantly there has to be a high level of trust which can only come when absolute confidentiality is assured.
The first step following the initial contact will be a face to face meeting to explore in general terms the nature of the issues being faced and the level of response that may be required. It would be usual for a Statement of Understanding to be signed in advance of this meeting so that anything that is discussed will remain confidential irrespective of the outcome.
Following this initial meeting a detailed proposal will be provided which will include the nature and level of support that is to be offered, the frequency of any face to face meetings and an estimate of the time period during which the support will be required. This draft proposal will include all charges relating to the Contract and a proposed payment schedule. Once agreed the proposal would become part of the formal Contract.
Depending on the predictability of the situation, it may be that support needs to be extended beyond the initial period. This will be by agreement and will be negotiated as soon as it is recognised as being necessary.
While there would be no charge for this initial meeting, any proposal would only be developed if there was an explicit indication of a commitment for the work to go forward.
